We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the Council NOT to proceed with the announced removal of the existing play equipment from Sherington Park Greenwood .

In its letter dated 11 March 2026 the City notified residents that the existing play equipment is to be removed as it "has reached the end of its useful life".

The play equipment is used daily by local children and it is a  community asset that needs to be preserved and maintained in accord with safety regulations. Its retention is of far greater community good than its removal .

We ,the undersigned ,ask  Council to preserve the play equipment in Sherington Park for existing and future generations .
