We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the Council reinstates 7pm closing at Duncraig, Whitford and Woodvale public libraries.  
As part of Council endorsed budget parameters that include 0% growth in staffing, materials and contracts costs over each of the next three years, the opening hours of Duncraig, Whitford and Woodvale public libraries have been cut from 7 to 6 pm two days each week.  Reducing opening hours directly harms the library services the community relies on most – especially during cost-of-living pressures.  We call on Council to reinstate these hours and instead find savings in other ways that don’t directly disadvantage the community.
