In the past few years, the traffic along Lakeside Drive has increased enormously.  
Due to hospital extensions, new mountain bike attraction and increased  rental accomodation, the greater number of vehicles travelling along Lakeside Drive has resulted in high level traffic noise pollution.
Most residents came to live in this area because of the beautiful Yellagonga bushland which used to be a peaceful environment.
A simple solution is road resurfacing with quieter (noise reduction) asphalt.
This has already been done on the south east end of the road and with the north east end now being resurfaced as the new roundabouts are completed, we ask that the new surface be continued as far as Upney Mews or even Shenton Avenue.
